International eventing superstar, six-time Olympian and Equestrian NSW member, Andrew Hoy, is to be honoured by the NSW Government and the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre when he is inducted into the NSW Hall of Champions in August this year. Andrew is already an inductee into the Australian Sporting Hall of Fame and this latest honour no doubt installs him as one of the most prolific and successful sportsmen in our history - across all sports. Andrew won his first Olympic medal in 1992 in Barcelona - team eventing gold. His second gold medal came via another team win in Atlanta and in 2000, at the Sydney Olympics, he won another team gold and also an individual silver. Andrew has a string of other international successes to his name including wins at Badminton and Lexington. He has also represented Australia at the World Equestrian Games on multiple occasions, winning team silver in Aachen in 2006.

Andrew joins other equestrian luminaries, Neale Lavis OAM, Laurie Morgan, Wayne Roycroft, Judith Mackay and Matt Ryan on the honour roll of the NSW Hall of Champions.

Congratulations Andrew, a very well deserved accolade.
